Annual Music Festival in Andalusia  from March  till  July every year for instrumental and vocal ensembles,

Open for amateur, semi professional and professional ensembles

Every year we welcome in Andalusia, southern part of Spain,  several  amateur and semi professional  ensembles  looking for  travelling and performing several concerts in different cities during a week or more.

As  expert travel agents and concert management company for over 25 years we had been organizing  concerts in several cities and towns in Andalucia every season.

Perform in Spain  in  direct collaboration  and partnership with the European Guitar Foundation had been organizing this festival since  2016

Música en El Camino Festival

Musica en el  Camino  is a  music  festival open for instrumental and vocal ensambles  interested to come to Spain and travel along the old pilgrimage roads  visiting its medieval cities and walking thorugh ancient paths while they will perform in beautiful monasteries, churches, palaces, castles or Cathedrals on  the way to Santiago de Compostela .

The festival  dates are open for your ensemble to come at your most convenient time. We do organize concerts all year round.   The 2021 is the next Holy Year in Santiago de Compostela, where the city is getting prepared to receive many pilgrims and visitors in general. The city and the other cities  involved along the Camino are preparing intense cultural programs and activities . We will make your  ensemble to be part of them.

Burgos Cathedral, for instance will celebrate the same year the  VIII centenary of its construction.

Pueblos Blancos Music Festival

 

July, 2019

It looks like it was yesterday when we began this adventure of Pueblos Blancos  but  today when I was checking our web site  I found that it was since October 2016, right after our first festival happened, that I did not write much more  in our web about it.

 

So, the first adventure happened on September 2016, and one year after we repeated the festival with new bands and much better logistics in September 2017.  On September  2018, we did our third Pueblos Blancos Music Festival and  now we are less than  3 weeks for the next one. This year will happen  in August for its first time.

 

 

Our festival became  a solid one over these years and  we are very proud of it. Many adventures happened, many  strong relations between musicians were built. bands from Spain went already to Austin, some performed during SXSW. Other bands from Texas came to Spain and  played gigs pre and post festival with local musicians, shared their gears and music and a big family of musicians  was created.  The past edition we had musicians  who came from Australia and Costa Rica, and the festival became an international one. Still focus on jazz, blues, rock and roll, country and tex mex music!

October, 2016

It has been  almost  two weeks over that the first Pueblos Blancos Music  Festival happened in the white villages in Andalusia. Phil Plata  is back in Austin, Juan is back working down in Montejaque and  I am back in Madrid. We need to enjoy some free time  to  think if we will  be ready again for next  year´s edition or this  was just a dream that happened once in a lifetime.

Our goal to create an  international encounter where musicians coming from all over the world to play their music and participate in this cultural exchange was  an incredible success beyond  all expectations, where during the four days  of the festival  the bands performed in different   pueblos   and venues each day. Local bands participated as well  and supported from the very beginning  with the  extra backline  needed.

The dream finally happened. Professional and semi professional bands  met together in an incredible  atmosphere of friendship and music during the four days. Every  night 6 to 8 bands were playing in different venues and after midnight jams happened every night with local musicians in Montejaque.

Many of the bands that participated came from Austin, the live music capital of the world, and the music style  mainly  in common was rock and roll, jazz, blues, country and  americana styles and this will be our goal for the future.

Big thanks to the towns of Montejaque, Ronda and Grazalema for their support. Big thanks to all musicians and bands who participated. Big thanks for all local bands and audiences  for the warm hospitality and  technical support.

Gospel in Spain

Pueblos Blancos Music Festival -Sept 15-18, 2016

Why? Due to our friendship over the years with  our friends of Mundi, a local band from Austin Texas and  with Phil Plata, a local musician from Austin, the craddle of this project was born last september during Phil and Karen´s visit to Andalusia. Since then, Juan de Castro  in Montejaque, Phil Plata in Austin and myself, were moving on. But  it was not until we receive the support from local authorities in the different Pueblos Blancos and since my visit to Austin this February when we  celebrated two gatherings with local musicians at his home, when the project became real.

Many bands will be coming from Austin, Texas and this has a reason. Not only  for te hard work  of Phil promoting  the festival through the local musicians in Austin, but also because Austin is the  live music capital of the world, and it is  where the South by Southwest Music festival happens every year. Making the interest of  local bands from Austin  in this  festival  and on coming to   Pueblos Blancos and Andalusia never happened before.

This together with the  passion of music and friendship and with the magic of  this hidden corner in South of Spain, the Pueblos Blancos ( known as The White Villages) made the rest.

When? Each of the  four cities will celebrate each night  different concerts, and all bands will be playing on each of the  cities. The concerts will  start on  Thursday Sept 15 and will end on Sunday 18th, 2016.

Where ?  Four  Pueblos Blancos: two in Malaga province ( Ronda and Montejaque) and two in Cadiz province ( Grazalema and Villaluenga del Rosario) will celebrate during  4 days an encounter of musicians and bands from all over the world who will share their music with locals with  concerts and workshops every day in every of the four   Pueblos Blancos, a magical corner in  south of Spain, close to the Gibraltar Strait, the end of the known world of the Greek mythology, a land of bandoleros and romantic writers.

Who ? From Texas, to Guatemala, from Rusia, To Ukraine will be coming to play,  share their music and experiences  with local  musicians and friends during the weekend.
